Felix R. Aviña

Felix R. Aviña, born March 31, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2024 at the age of 92.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Miguel "Mike" Aviña and Francisca Rodriguez; loving wife, Angelita Aviña; sons, Felix Aviña Jr. and Rene Aviña and siblings, Martin Jr. Miguel "Mike", Domingo and Felipa.

He is survived by his children, Johnny Aviña (Oralia) and Norma Torres (Zenon); grandchildren, Sarah, Fabian, Linda, Michele, Zenon David, Felix III, Justin, Christopher, Shawn, Miranda, Ally, and John S; siblings, Martin, Antonio, Aurora, Gloria, Jesse, Luisa, Ralph and Stella and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Felix was a Master Carpenter, he built his family home on his own in 1955. He also crafted furniture which he sold or gifted to his family. He was a self taught artist which included painting and playing music on his guitar. Felix also and loved to spend time with his family. He gained a lot of wisdom in his many years. He would share advice and stories of his life, including his service in the U.S. Army, Korean War. He was a very proud veteran. He will be dearly missed but never be forgotten.

A visitation for Felix will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, 78211, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Cremation will follow.
