Evelyn Virginia Twiefel Ward, age 96, passed away on November 15, 2018 in Pleasanton, TX. She was born on December 14, 1921 in Bexar County, TX to Otto & Hedwig Twiefel. She was devoted to her family. She enjoyed socializing with other couples, playing bunko with a six couple party, photography, sewing, and growing orchids and a variety of other flowers and plants. Dog and other pets were an enduring joy in her life. Evelyn was married to Marvin Ward for 67 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Ward; son, Robert Lee Ward; step-son, Steve Parsons; parents, Otto Twiefel & Hedwig Wiedner Twiefel; grandparents, Heinrich Twiefel & Emilie Bielstein Twiefel and August Wiedner & Minna Minge Wiedner.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Lee Ward & wife Naomi; grandson, Kevin Scott Ward & wife Tracye; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Haiden & wife Jackie, Kennan, and London Ward; brother, Milton Twiefel & wife Marilyn; numerous nieces & nephews.
The Visitation will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2018 with the Funeral Service to follow at 3 p.m. at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
