Lt. Col. Eugene J. Romero, U.S.A.F. (Ret.), age 79, died July 3, 1996. He is survived by his wife, Marian; daughter, Doris Romero; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Jane Romero and James and Maria Romero; grandchildren, Gregory, Jeffrey, Karen, Lorie, Miranda, Carina and James Andrew; great-grandchildren, Leslie, Kayla, Sterling, Jeffrey, Christopher and Jessica; sister, Elvida Perez; brother, Louis Romero. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 8, 1996 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment with full military honors will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8:00 pm, Sunday, July 7th at Sunset Funeral Home with a rosary being recited at 6:00 pm.
