Esther Lee Riley Kring

Esther Lee Riley Kring was born March 13, 1926 in Stephenville, TX to Fred Riley of Stephenville and Vera Carter of Dimmitt, TX. There were 2 sisters, Lucille Riley Fritz and Katherine Riley Hayes, both of which preceded her in death.

Because our Mom grew up in the depression, she knew getting her nursing degree would help her family, and she graduated Baptist Hospital’s Nursing program in 1947. Our Mom decided later in life to go back to school and get a BSN degree, which of course she did!

She married Jessie Kring, Jr and together they had three children, Kitty Kring Cruser, Gary Kring and Kenneth Kring. To the wives and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Mom loved you all.

We traveled the world with Mom, our fearless leader, through Japan, Morocco and Spain. We visited and experienced the life of other cultures. Mom made sure of that!

Later in life our Mom reconnected with Rudy Flores and spent the last years, dancing and loving Rudy!

Esther was a member of Carousel Dance Club, the 57 Club, and Singles Club. Mom always enjoyed the Roaring 20’s Club, where she reconnected with Rudy Flores.

Everyone should live their life to the fullest, and Mom did!

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday April 9, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
