Estella S. Avila, entered into eternal rest on October 21, 2023, in San Antonio, TX. Ms. Avila was born to Frank E. and Maria S. Avila. Estella worked for Kelly Bank then went to work for Kelly Air Force Base where she retired after 30 years of service. In retirement, she took a full time job as a school secretary for Lady Of Peace and she volunteered as parish secretary for Immaculate Conception Church. She was actively involved in her parish where she was a member of Hijas de Maria and The Guadalupanas Society. Estella was an avid gardener and had a keen eye for interior decoration, photograph and enjoyed the company for her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank E. and Maria Avila; sisters, Eloisa A. Hernandez and Janie Dominguez.
She is survived by her sisters, Silvia E. Avila, Margaret (Alfredo) Pacheco, Aunt; Alicia Salazar; brother –in-law, Reynaldo Dominguez; nieces and nephews, Guadalupe Hernandez, Juanita (Cresencio) Riojas, Ray Christian (Veronica) Dominguez, Mario Pacheco, Jose T. Hernandez, Valerie (Sergio) Palomo, Yvonne P. Williams and John Paul Hernandez. She will be truly missed by family and friends.
The Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 25, 202 from 5: 00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio,TX 78237 followed by a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of The Resurrection at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
