Ernesto R. Nunez

Ernesto Ruiz Nunez entered eternal rest in San Antonio, Texas on April 4, 2016 at the age of 83. He was born to Ramon and Mary Nunez on August 6, 1932 in Tucson, Arizona; and now reunites with both parents. He is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Carmen Nunez; children: Anna, Alfred (Virginia), Gabriel (Caroline), Patrick (Tillie), Adrian, Marc (Moni); 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosie McQueen (Richard); brother, Raymond Nunez; step-daughter Linda Keller (Kevin); granddaughter, Brandy Santee (Nick); grandson, Joshua Borlinghaus; 2 great-grandchildren, Kendall and Kamryn; and numerous other relatives. Ernesto enjoyed embarking on road trips and traveling in his RV. He found comfort in accompanying others in hunting and fishing trips while cooking up the best foods and grilling delicious BBQ. He most certainly enjoyed entertaining others and watching car races. His most precious moments were spent with his family and grandchildren, and he will be missed dearly by all who knew him. The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. His life will be celebrated on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 4242 Bluemel Rd. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
