He is preceded in death by his parents, Salvador and Mariana Martinez and his 7 siblings.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Guadalupe Martinez; children, Ernest Martinez Jr. (Rhiana), Roger Martinez and Jennifer Martinez (Matthew); grandchildren, Savanah, Sierah, Roger Jr, Destiny (David), Elijah and Alexandra and siblings, Benito Martinez, Angie Martinez and Elia Rodriguez.
Ernesto liked being outdoors at his ranch, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and tending to his animals.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Somerset, TX at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
