Ernesto Alvarado

Ernesto Alvarado went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2013. He was born in Laredo, Texas, the son of the late Conrado Alvarado and late Eduelia Arambula. He is survived by his wife Lucy Alvarado and his daughters, Amanda Severyns and Monica Peterson; and grandchildren Patrick, Nicholas, and Alyssa. He also leaves behind much family, friends, and neighbors who affectionately referred to him as “Ernie” or “Neto”. He served in the U.S. Army in the 62nd MP Company from which he received an Honorable discharge in 1970. He also pursued a career as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service and retired after 33 years of service. Ernesto will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Arrangements are being handled by Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy. San Antonio, Texas 78218. A mass will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 9:30a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 3303 Urban Crest Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78209 with Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
