Ernest Maldonado

Ernest Maldonado, born on August 30, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas, was called to be with the Lord on August 27, 2019, at the age of 60. He is preceded in death by his beloved sister: Elizabeth Flores; nieces: Jamie Lyn Sanchez, and Tessa Ann Lares; nephew: Zachary David Gray; and brother-in-law: Serapio Ornelaz. Ernest is survived by his loving parents: Enrique and Rose Maldonado; daughter: Erin Rose Kuhns; grandson: Logan Kuhns; siblings: Sylvia Ornelaz, Alice Houy (Jason), Nancy Herrera, and Joy Maldonado; brother-in-law: Ignacio Flores; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Ernest will be dearly missed by all of his close family and friends. The visitation will be held on Monday, September 9, 2019, at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Road, San Antonio, Texas, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. On Tuesday, September 10, 2019, the funeral service will be held at St. Leonard Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas, Shelter 3.
