Ernest Hernandez Jr.

Ernest Hernandez Jr., age 81, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Ernest was born October 24, 1940 to Ernest Hernandez Sr. and Lillie Torres. He was married to Victoria Hernandez for 30 years.

Ernest served 22 Years in the Air Force, retiring as a Tech Staff Sergeant and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, gambling, traveling and spending time with his family and closest friends.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Victoria Hernandez, siblings; Adela Flores (Moses), Ernestine Salazar (Roger) & Henrietta Juarez, Eight children; Catherine Ann Davila, Ricardo Hernandez (Heather), Juan Salazar (Mary), Cynthia DeLeon, Grace DeLeon, Kristina Galvez (Oscar), Patricia DeLeon and Monica Arzola (David). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews

A visitation for Ernest will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205 with a rosary service at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1114 Willow Dr, San Antonio, TX 78208 with a committal service following at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
