Ernest Caldwell, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, entered rest on September 10, 2013 at the age of 79. He was born on December 14, 1933 to Salvador and Leonor Caldwell in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mr. Caldwell honorably served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. After leaving Korea he was moved to BAMC and met the love of his life Sally, his black book was closed. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Celina Riboni. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sally; daughter, Sylvia Ann Caldwell (Pat); son, Michael E. Caldwell (Maria); grandchildren, Jasmine Michelle, Justin Michael and Jasmine Lee Caldwell; great-grandsons, Adrian and Landon Puente; sisters, Maclovia Kroum and Lila Armijo (Tobias); brothers-in-law, Francisco Vasquez (Pauline), Richard Vasquez (Christine) ; sisters-in-law, Miss Rosa Vasquez, Guadalupe Villalobos (Jesse); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his honesty, generosity and loving heart. He was a good craftsman and a helpful neighbor; a man of integrity always loyal to his family and faith. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers for a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., Monday, September 16, 2013 to celebrate a 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Henry Catholic Church.
