

He was born on September 10, 1969, to parents, Eloy Sanchez and Diana Davila, in San Antonio, Texas.
Eric was a graduate of Robert E Lee High School in San Antonio, TX. Throughout his final years of high school Eric worked in healthcare and found his interest in medicine. He worked hard to become first an ER technician and later an Orthopedic technician. After leaving the hospital field, Eric found work in selling medical supplies. He took all he had learned from his years in the hospital environment and turned that knowledge into becoming a successful, accomplished salesman for over twenty years. Eric received various awards and acknowledgements from his various employers and gained the trust and loyalty of his many customers. Eric was very ambitious and believed in constantly bettering himself so that he could help others succeed also.
Eric’s main hobby in life was making delicious bbq and competing on the championship bbq circuit. He earned many awards and prizes throughout the years. His biggest win was in a national championship in Las Vegas. Eric spent many happy hours perfecting his brisket and bean recipes. He always would say that love was the secret ingredient to good food and Eric always cooked with a heart full of love.
He was preceded in death by his mother Diana Davila, his maternal grandparents, and his paternal grandparents.
Eric is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Sanchez; several brothers and sisters; his father; and various nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
