Enriqueta M. Leija

Enriqueta M. Leija was born March 16, 1926 in Laredo, Texas to Silverio and Teresa Martinez, she peacefully went to be with the Lord July 23, 2018 at the age of 92. She is proceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 33 years, Jose Leija Sr; and their sons, Enrique Leija and Benito Leija; her son in law Climaco F. Arocha Jr. Surviving relatives include; daughter Janie Arocha, her sons; Jose Leija Jr.(Bertha), Leo Leija (Betty), Silverio Leija(Delia); sister Julia Hernandez; numerous grand children and great grand children, and even two great great grand child.

Enriqueta, became independent after the death of her husband, she enjoyed traveling and working in her garden, but her greatest love was being a mother

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the phenomenal staff at Legend Oaks West who loved and cared for her as if she was their own grandmother.

Visitation will be Sunday July 29, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00pm
