Kike Jr. was born on July 10, 1980, in the deep Westside of San Antonio, TX "78207" to Kike and Yolanda. He went to David Barkley Elem. Cooper MS and graduated from Lanier HS in 1999. While in his middle school years he was given the tag name "Rooster" which followed him throughout his life. That name fit him perfect because he was a protector to many, especially his family always making sure they were together and safe. During these same years he grew to love Freestyle Music. This is where he gained his dancing skills. He was always standing in Quinceńera and loved being asked to be an Honor Escort. If he was not part of the court, you would find him at any other Quinceńera dancing the night away. He danced his way into his high school years at Lanier where he along with a group of friends put a dance crew together called "Next Illusions Crew" During this time is where “Rooster” became even more so popular. Them dance battles and talent shows is what would bring him so much joy and happiness.
After graduating high school he enlisted into the United States Army, sadly due to an injury he was unable to pursue his Military career. Shortly after, he joined the workforce, became a jack of all trades and work hard for his money.
Enrique "Kike" made friends wherever he went and everyone who came to know him, loved him. Everyone knew he loved to dance, had a sense of humor and was always cracking jokes. He could pull off any style from Caps to Tanditos, Polo Shirts to Guayaberas, Dockers to Dickies and Adidas/K-Swiss to Stacy Adams.
Kike, adored all of his family but his Mother and Father he loved so dearly and shared his Agape love with each of them. Kike Jr touched so many hearts with his kindness, respect and more than anything, his genuine love. His presence was truly a gift to them all. We know that he is embracing and reuniting with all his loved ones, especially his DAD. The love and memories that he left behind, will leave an imprint on his family forever especially his MOM as he would call her, the main one who never gave up on him, loved him unconditionally and will miss him immensely. Although it won't be the same, they know he will be smiling down and watching them live in his memory. They were grateful to share the time they had with him and now he will live through them.
May God receive him into his Kingdom and may Enrique “Kike” Perez Jr. “Rooster” Rest In Peace.
