October 26, 1921 in Tala, Jalisco Mexico. She passed away on July 27, 2020.
She was married to David A. Diaz. They met in 1947 in Mexico City and were married on February 2, 1949. They gave birth to three children in Mexico, David, Victor and Marisela. After immigrating
to the United States in 1956, they gave birth to a set of triplets, Robert, Thomas and Stella in
Kansas City, MO.
She studied accounting and secretarial skills in a vocational school in Mexico City.
She did secretarial work for a few years. Thereafter, she worked for the Federal Tax Office in Mexico City. Subsequently, she landed a job as an assistant for a company that traded agricultural foods
in wholesale amounts. Her boss would tell everyone, that if she were not a woman, he would make her
his partner. She became his right arm and very competent at her job as his assistant.
After being married she regrettably left her job, to her boss's disappointment, to dedicate
herself to becoming a housewife. This was very common in that time and age.
She and our Father became Christians within a few months after arriving in Kansas City, MO.
She attended a Mexican Baptist Church where she was involved in singing in the choir ,
participating in women's events and serving when possible. The fact that she had a set of triplets
to care for was quite a challenge indeed. Years later having moved to Puebla, Mexico she
became more available to participate in her church, Primera Iglesia Bautista de Puebla.
She sang in the choir, was involved in Women's Ministries, taught Sunday School and hosted
many youth reunions in their home. She loved to cook and bake, sweet bread and pies were her specialty. People always felt welcomed and blessed by her humble hospitality and always enjoyed
the abundant treats she shared. She was always so selfless and giving of herself. We will always remember her for her Love of the Lord, dedication to her family, optimism, confidence in her faith
in The Lord and diligence. She was a reliable mother to all of us as children. We will truly miss her,
yet we have the confidence that one day we will be together in heaven with her.
