Emma Dominguez Campbell entered eternal life on December 21, 2021, one week prior to her 94th birthday. Emma was born in Moore, TX on December 28, 1927 to Jesus M. and Carmen (Espinoza) Dominguez. She grew up in a very large, modest family where she learned the importance of hard work and family support at an early age. After graduating from Moore High School, Emma moved to the "big city" of San Antonio where she resided until her death. Her extended family back home always remained a priority for her. She made it a point to visit frequently; often bringing gifts to the little ones in the family.
After moving to San Antonio, Emma attended Draughon's Business College and then landed a job in civil service at Kelly AFB. It was during this time that she met her husband, Johnny. They married in 1955 and celebrated 60 years of marriage before he passed away in 2015. Emma left her job at Kelly AFB in 1958 and began her long career as a Homemaker. She dedicated the rest of her life to her family. After raising her own children, she spent the next several years helping out with her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her daughters and their families. There is only one thing she may have loved as much as her family and that was her Spurs! She was a loyal and dedicated Spurs fan and took pride in the fact that she and Johnny were season ticket holders for over 30 years!
Emma was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Campbell, Jr.; her parents, Jesus and Carmen Dominguez; her brothers: Juan, Enemencio, Moises, Santiago and Adan Dominguez and her sisters: Elvira Morales, Zulema Pena, Eva Bazan, Herlinda Aguilar and Fidela Mendez. She has also been reunited with her brothers, Alejos and Noe, who died as infants.
Emma is survived by her daughters: Jennifer Shows and husband George Boothe, Susan Skinner, Laurie Haushill and husband Mark, Karen (Deedee) Meloni and husband Bobby; her grandchildren: Eric Shows, Stephanie Luschen (Klent), Ashley Conrad (Neil), Jason Shows (Ashli), Amy Rose (Brandon), Kristin Meloni, Kayla Epps (Derek), Matthew Haushill, Brian Meloni, Meredith Haushill and Kara Meloni; her 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, Federico Dominguez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Emma was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by many.
