Emelda A. Cortez, entered into eternal rest on January 28 2024, in San Antonio, TX. Mrs. Cortez was brought into this world on June 8th, 1978 to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guadalupe and Ernesto Cortez. Emelda was the owner of the local favorite Marty B’s. Mrs. Cortez was always known to be a social butterfly during family get together, shopping, collecting LV purses and enjoying the relaxing moments when playing with her dogs.
She is preceded in death by her grandson, Xzavier Cortez; brother, Ernesto Cortez Jr.; aunt, Nena Ramirez; uncle, Tomas Lara and grandparents, Sarah and Jose Medina.
Emelda is survived by her husband, Martin Buenrostro; children, Jacob, Johnathan, Miranda, Martin Jr.; daughter in law, Aytza; grandchildren, Alegiah, Izeighah, Navaeigah; parents; siblings Fernando, Jeff, Ariel; sister in law, Jennifer; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and her 10 pugs; Boov and Benito.
The Visitation will be held Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 followed by a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples, San Antonio,TX 78226.
