Elwyn Spencer

“Spence” flew many missions in the Korean War and proudly served as a navigator on the B-58 “Hustler”. He flew commercial airliners for Eastern and Japan Air Lines and enjoyed a career in Defense Contract Administration. He cared for his beloved wife, Doris, for ten years following her paralytic stroke.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris K. Spencer, sister, Janet Drexel and brother, Francis Spencer.

He is survived by his son, Michael Spencer & wife Linda; his daughter, Nanci Fisher & husband James; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 1 niece and 4 nephews.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home.

Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m., April 19, 2013 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
