Elvira, born on April 7, 1935 to the parents of Jacinta Ramirez and Nicholas Ramirez, in Taft Texas where she immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Elvira went on to graduate from Dental Assisting School and pursued her career as a Dental Assistant. In 1957, she met Fernando Antonio Rios at a dance in Sinton Texas and shortly became engaged and married on November 13, 1958. The two enjoyed their retirement years at their second residence in Rockport Texas where they enjoyed coastal living on extended weekends with their children and grandchildren. During their marriage they had four children; Sandra, Katherine, Angela, and Fernando.
Our mother, Elvira was an exceedingly dedicated mom to all of her children, raising all four of them to go on and accomplish their degrees. She was one of the strongest, courageous, and kindest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as head of the family. Family came first and was above all else to our mother, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
Elvira is preceded in death by her parents, Nicolas Ramirez and Jacinta Inclan Ramirez; husband Fernando Antonio Rios Sr. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her surviving children Sandra Lynn Urdiales, Katherine Gutierrez (Roger), Angela Anderson and Fernando A. Rios Jr.; grandchildren, Justina Rodriguez, Jacinta Gutierrez, Robert Anthony Urdiales Jr., Clarissa Gutierrez, Andrea Gutierrez, Jacinta Gutierrez, and Lauren O' Campo; great grandchildren, Hunter Urdales, Aidan Gonzalez, Jesse Flores, Delilah Flores, and Frank Gomez; sister, Maria Garcia; brother, Nicholas Ramirez.
