Eloy H. Juarez, Jr. passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 63. He was born in Floresville, Texas on January 31, 1956 to his mother, Rosa Juarez, and his late father, Eloy Valdez Juarez. He served his country in the Army, followed by 40 years in the Civil Service with the Air Force; as a Machinist and Equipment Specialist at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas and a Logistics Manager for Air Force Space Command at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He is preceded in death by his father; his mother-in-law, Gloria Jaramillo; and his sister, Melissa Juarez.
Eloy leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Diane Jaramillo Juarez; his daughter, Rose Lee Juarez; his sons, Jesse Ramos Juarez and Charles Lee Juarez; his mother, Rosa Juarez; his siblings, Richard Juarez, Michael Juarez, David Juarez, Melvin Juarez, Hector Juarez; Yvonne Juarez, Eric Juarez, and Diana Juarez; his godchildren, Crystal Jaramillo, Jonathan D. White, Joshua Evans, Angelina Alvarado, and Michael Eloy Juarez; his father-in-law, Valdemar Jaramillo; and his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who adored him.
The family will be receiving friends for a Visitation on Monday, July 8 from 4 PM to 9 PM at Roy Akers Funeral Home – 515 N. Main Ave. 78205 – with a Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. A Funeral Procession will depart at 9:30 AM from the funeral home and arrive at St. Paul Catholic Church - 350 Sutton Dr. 78228 – for a Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery – 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. 78209 – will follow at the conclusion of the service.
