Elnora went home to be with her Lord and Savior after a full life of 92 years. She was born in Fredericksburg, Texas and was enrolled in a one-room schoolhouse in Grapetown, Tx. She graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1942. She moved to San Antonio where she attended the San Antonio Women’s Business College. She met Wallace Whiten, who was in the Army Air Corps and stationed at Randolph Field. The first time he saw her across the room, he told his buddy, “That’s the girl I’m going to marry” and he did on March 4, 1944. She was preceded in death by her parents; Chas. Klinksiek and Frieda Anna Klinksiek nee Bohnert and her husband of 39 years, Wallace Reid Whiten. She is survived by her three sons and their wives; Reid (Peggy) Whiten, Charles (Valerie) Whiten and Dwayne (Linda) Whiten, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 4pm to 7 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will take place on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 2:30pm at the Funeral Home with the Entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
