Ella Mae Wolff

She was born on May 21, 1923 to Herman Lenz and Alvina Krueger Lenz in Wilson County, Texas and resided in San Antonio, Texas for 72 years

.

She married Walter Wolff on June 23, 1946, and they had three children Eva Palmisano, Randall (Randy) Wolff and Kevin Wolff.

Ella Mae worked as a school cafeteria manager and retired from both the San Antonio Independent School District and Holy Name Catholic School.

She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church for 71 years where she taught Sunday School among numerous other activities. She was also active in the Schertz Valley Auxillary VFW where she was chaplain and, with her sister, known for her pies and cakes on Bingo Night. She also loved dancing, visiting friends and family, fishing and playing bunco.

Ella Mae is lovingly survived by 3 children, 9 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Gilbert and Wilfred Lenz, sister Velma Lenz Voigt and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be February 14th at 11:00 AM followed by funeral services at 12:00 PM and an internment at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218. Pastor Judi Miller will officiate.
