Elizabeth Valdez Padron, “Sister Liz”, 57, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on April 28, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 29, 1965 to Guadalupe & Josie Valdez. She was an adorable, curly-haired little girl who loved music and singing with her Daddy. She flourished in the band at South San Antonio High School. After graduation, she went on to study Business Administration and Early Childhood Education. She started her career at South San Antonio Independent School District as a paraprofessional serving children with Special Needs, which she truly loved. She was also the Counselor’s Secretary and then Lead Secretary for Dwight Middle School. She worked alongside administrators as their “right hand” and proudly served the staff and students of SSAISD for nearly 38 years. In 2022, Liz retired to focus on her health. She and her husband also managed a healthy real estate portfolio and she brought many joy through her other two businesses Jewelry Lady & More - Malachi 3:10 and Big Mama’s Bling Paparazzi Jewelry.
When Liz met Jose Guadalupe Padron or “Apa” as she called him and it was love at first sight. They have been married for 35 years. Lupe was Liz's rock, and his personality perfectly complemented hers. They went on to be blessed with three amazing children, Luis Padron, Crystal Padron, and Isaiah Padron.
Liz had the biggest heart and most beautiful spirit! She was full of energy, spunk, humor, fun, and LOVE! She was fearless and independent, sharp and business savvy, sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her family, music, singing at church and everywhere, her plants, selling everything, working hard, business, being a boss babe, doing Live shows on Facebook, and watching reality TV shows. She was strong-willed and a natural leader who got things done. These character traits were part of who she was, and her faith in God and strength helped her deal with life's challenges including serious medical issues like diabetes, kidney failure, and dialysis.
Liz was predeceased by her father Guadalupe R. Valdez, her mother Josefina H Valdez. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband Jose Guadalupe Padron, their children Luis Padron, Crystal Padron, Isaiah Padron, her siblings Guadalupe R. Valdez, Angelica M. Rodriguez, Diana Vidales and her nieces and nephews Adam M Rodriguez, David A Rodriguez, Alexandra M Rodriguez, Joselyn Vidales, David Vidales, Daniel Vidales, and Davian Vidales as well many beloved cousins.
We know that she is now free from her pain, renewed, fully healed, and walking the streets of gold while singing praises to her King!
