Elizabeth A. Mendoza, our beloved mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February, 2, 2011, at the age of 79. She was born on November 10, 1931, in Allen Farm, TX. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Raymond R. Mendoza, her parents Primitivo and Maria Arizpe, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter Roxanne, sons Gary and Ray Jr, daughter-in-law Sandra, grandchildren Raymond III (wife, Pam), Marlene, and Rebecca, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was a strong, independent, and selfless woman, who lived her faith. A visitation will be held, Tuesday, February 8, 6:00 – 9:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00, at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road. A funeral Mass will be held, Wednesday, February 9, 10:00 AM, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 159 Camino Santa Maria St, San Antonio, TX 78228-4997.
