

She graduated from Coronado High School in El Paso, Texas, then attended the pre-med/pre-dent program at The University of Texas at Austin. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She was a clinical professor at UTHSCSA Dental School for over 30 years where she was adored by her students and colleagues.
Liz cherished her many friends and lived for her children and grandchildren who were the light of her life.
She is survived by her sons, Jake McAlister and wife, Toffee; Dr. Travis McAlister and wife, Ann; and Kent McAlister and wife, Gretchen; her five grandchildren, Rhodes, English, Campbell, Wynn, and Kyle; sisters, Virginia Hovel and Mary Mason; brothers, James Healy and Dennis Healy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
This Earth's loss is Heaven's gain.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the chapel at Porter Loring on McCullough.
