He is preceded in death by his parents, Elias V. Bernal and Clara Garcia Bernal.

He is survived by his sons, Andrew Bernal and Armando Bernal and wife, Melissa; companion, Dora Lopez; grandchildren, Katheryn Bernal, Christopher Bernal, Sarah Bernal, Armando Joaquin Bernal and Sophia Bernal; sister, Isabel Flores and husband, Paul; nieces and nephews, Paul Flores Jr., Yvette Taylor and Edward Flores; also, numerous other relatives.

The Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with The Rev. Raymond Martinez officiating. Entombment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery and Mausoleum III, 1735 Cupples Rd., San Antonio,TX 78226.
