Eileen Rita Willis passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on May 28, 2020 after a three year battle with brain cancer. She was 71 years old. Eileen was born in Oneida, NY where she grew up as the oldest daughter of 6 children; a natural nurturer and people person with a huge heart. She graduated from Oneida High School and eventually attended Nursing School where she obtained her LVN. She has resided in San Antonio for over 35 years and called it her home. She became a huge Spurs fan and loved the warm weather that lasts almost year round. She built her life here and became a highly respected real estate agent for over 20 years with Keller Williams, even winning the Platinum Top 50 in 2009! A true Matriarch, her Greatest Joy was being a Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother; she loved spending time with her family and baking with her grandkids. Always helping those in need, charity work and volunteering were something she was passionate about. A true angel on earth and anyone that knew her was aware of the love she had for her family, her loyalty, gracious heart and tenacity. She enjoyed sitting on her patio and watching the birds in her beautiful garden with her coffee or wine. She rarely turned down a party or charity event and Absolutely Loved the beach; this is why she enjoyed going on Cruises in her past time, gambling with beautiful views.
She is preceded in death by her parents George & Regina Southall and her younger brother, Peter Southall.
She is survived by her siblings Ronald Southall, Christine Southall, Susan Coriale, and Mark Southall. Her 3 children; Kimberly Delaney (Spouse Tim Free), Philip Tardbania, Jason (Laura) Zaik, Eight Grandchildren: Ashtan Farmer, Megan (Devin) Cochran, Nathan, Jillian & Shannan Delaney, Abigail, Jason and Jacob Zaik; Two great grandchildren, Alana & Iris, two nieces Amber & Candice, and two Great Nieces Natalia & Violet.
It would be wrong to say that Eileen lost her battle because no matter how sick, she was never without a smile on her face; her indomitable spirit kept her pushing through. She will be missed tremendously by many.
We will always Love you Mom.
