Eddie Hernandez, Jr. born on December 19, 1928 in San Antonio, TX was called to be with the Lord on April 14, 2014 at the age of 85. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and was drafted into the U.S. Army. He served in the Korean Campaign and received the Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal and 1 Bronze Service Star. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward, Sr. and Trinidad Hernandez; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Maria G. and Rudy Jimenez; son, Edward Hernandez, III; grandchildren; Sonia and Yvonne Jimenez; sisters, Emma Hernandez and Eva Rios; brothers, Adolfo and Arturo Hernandez; also, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 at Trevino Funeral home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Jude’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.2.
