Earl Orlin Lambert, 82, of Adkins, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27th, 2014 at the Country Care Manor Nursing Home In Lavernia . Born in East Rutherford, NJ to Frank and Myrtle Lambert he lived most of his life in the San Antonio, Texas area.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Myrtle Lambert, brothers – Frank and Art and his sister Eleanor. He was married to Doris Elizabeth for 50 years before her death in 2003. He is survived by his current wife Evelyn Marsh Lambert and his children Ann MacLeod and husband Jay, Ronald Miller, Kay Ford and husband Les and Tamme Johnson; four grandchildren, Mark Brown, Travis Brown, Ronnie Miller and Andria Ford and ten great grand-children; brother, Edward Lambert; sisters, Marion, Mary, Myrtle, Ruth and Florence.
Earl was a passionate man who enjoyed singing, dancing, attending church at the First Baptist Church of LaVernia and loved helping other people. He was in the military services for over 20 years. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his children and grand-children.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 12 noon at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy. He will be buried next to his wife of 50 years at Sunset Memorial Park during a private service.
