Dorothy E. Lamp

Dorothy Elizabeth Lamp, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the age of 79. She was born January 29, 1934, in Deerfield Township, Illinois to Forline and Adeline (Karasinski) Hammond. Dorothy was devoted to her family, loved dining out, enjoyed old movies, and listening to music.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Lamp, Sr. and her son, Robert Lamp, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Kitty L. Brietzke, J.D. and husband Freddie, Jr.; daughter, Robin San Miguel and husband Frank; son, Randy Lamp; daughter, Roxanna Muzny and husband Bob; granddaughter, Melanie Romero and husband Ernesto; grandson, Thomas Alexander, III and wife Chelsea; grandson, Chris Alexander; grandson, Freddie Lee Brietzke, III and wife Alessi; grandson, Bryan Muzny; great-granddaughters, Mia and Medea; great-grandson, Marco; brothers, Robert Hammond and wife Ruth and Richard Hammond and wife Paula; nephew, Richard Hammond, Jr.; niece, Natalie Avey and husband Cyrus; great-nephew, Weston Avey.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 10:00am at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1602 Thousand Oaks, San Antonio, TX 78232. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
