Dorothy Luella Armstrong

Dorothy was born February 26, 1926 in Groesbeck, Texas and is preceded in death by her parents Orion Wilmire Plummer Sr. and Lillian Edith Gant. She was the third of six children; Ima Edell, Harold Lance, Curtis Donovan, Gerald Allison and Orion Wilmire Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Kaye Lynn Parkey and husband, John. Brother, Gerald Allison Plummer, and step-son, John H. Armstrong Jr. and wife, Loretta; several nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.

On May 1, 1943, Dorothy married Herman H. Horne (Dec. 1985) Together they raised two beautiful children: Paul Allen (Oct. 1984) and Kaye Lynn. A top-notch homemaker, she spent most of her life in San Antonio, Texas. On July 29, 1989, she married John H. Armstrong Sr. (Sept. 2006) and together enjoyed life, family members and friends. Dorothy was always there to brighten the lives of others and together John and she enjoyed many traditional family gatherings. We will never forget her indomitable spirit and she will be missed, but not forgotten.

Dorothy was a loyal and faithful servant of the Lord. She attended Eisenhauer Road Baptist Church and Northridge Park Baptist Church.

Chapel services will be held at Sunset Park, located at 1701 Austin Hwy, on December 30th at 11AM.
