

Dora Mena Olivares, 96, fell asleep in death on January 23, 2024 at the age of 96 in San Antonio, TX. Her Memorial Service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 2850 Foster Meadows, San Antonio, TX 78222 at 3:00pm on February 3, 2024
Dora was born May 3, 1927 in San Antonio, TX. She spent her early life and attended school in Fredricksburg, TX. She married Juan Manuel Olivares on January 4, 1946 and together raised 8 children, who she loved and cherished. They were married for 52 years.
She is survived by Rose Mary Lee; Carmen (Jesse) Gonzales; Olga (Joe) Enriquez; Eva (John) Taylor; Arthur (Arlene) Olivares; Alma (Robert) Huizar. She is preceded in death by Juan Manuel Olivares (Spouse); Cyndy Olivares-Pruett (Daughter) and Henrietta McCintock (Daughter). She had 16 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Dora had a deep appreciation for spiritual things and loved sharing her Bible knowledge with others though letter writing. She dedicated her life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on September 2, 1956 and was an active member of her local congregation. Dora was comforted by the words found in Psalms 73:26 “My body and my heart may fail, But God is the rock of my heart”. In her spare time, she also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, arts and crafts, singing and dancing. Dora will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
