Dora Lilia Alvarez

Dora Lilia Alvarez, age 87, of 1202 W. Pyron, passed away March 10th, 2021. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 22nd, 1933 to Leopoldo and Rita Flores. She was married to Frank J. Alvarez for 37 years. She has a career in insurance for Texas Protective Life Insurance. She was a member of Guadalupanas Society of St. Joseph South San and had a passion for cooking, being outdoors, family, and her church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leopoldo and Rita Flores, husband Frank Alvarez, brother Jose R. Flores and Leopoldo Flores, sister-in-laws Pauline Flores, Mildred Kuti, and brother-in-law Alex Kuti.

She is survived by her sons Robert Crouch (Margo), Frank Alvarez (Emily), Daniel F. Alvarez (Veronica); daughter, Lilia C. Alvarez; grandchildren, Steven Alvarez, Anthony J. Alvarez, Justin R. Alvarez (Breidy), Adrian D. Alvarez, Kimberly, Vincent Aguirre, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be held Friday April 9, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St Joseph's Church (South San), 535 New Laredo Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78211. A funeral mass is to follow at 11:00 AM.
