Donald E. (Don) Pollock of McQueeney, TX passed away on December 17, 2012 in New Braunfels, TX. He was born November 19, 1939 to Inola and John Dee Pollock in Abilene, TX. Don spent most of his adult life as a Court Reporter starting out working as a freelance reporter, then as a County Court Reporter and Civil District Court Reporter in Bexar County. In 1988, along with a partner, he opened Pollock and Upshaw, a freelance reporting firm. In 1995, he returned to the Civil District Court system and continued working there until he retired in 2001. He was very active in the Texas Court Reporters Association serving on the Board of Directors in numerous positions, and finally, as President. He was a member of the New Braunfels Presbyterian Church, and a former member of McQueeney Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, sons, Kevin, and his wife Chrissy, and Randy; grandchildren Ryan, Josh, Kyle, Grace, and Colton, and numerous other family members and friends.
Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating, particularly after they moved from San Antonio to Lake McQueeney. He was a proud “Aggie Band Dad” who enjoyed football.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 21, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the Funeral Service to follow at 12 noon. Interment will continue at Sunset Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.
