

Donald John Christensen, age 87, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. Donald was born on September 16, 1934, in Ririe, Idaho, to parents George C. Christensen and Evelyn A. Christensen. As a child, Don spent the spring and summer helping his father with their ranch in Swan Valley, Idaho and the fall and winter at their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Don graduated from Idaho State University and was a Navigator Bombadier in the United States Air Force. Don, affectionately known as "Papa," enjoyed spending time with his family and was adored by his four children, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Don is survived by many loving family members, his wife of sixty-four years, Doris W. Christensen, children John Christensen (Alison), Missy Shuffield (Rod), Leslie Brown (Ken), Patrick Christensen (Mardi), grandchildren Patrick Nash (Elizabeth), Caroline McDonald (Dylan), Ali Christensen, Dr. Andrew Nash, Catherine Brown, Colin Brown, Jack Christensen, Katherine Wright (Jordan), Georgia Christensen, Evita Christensen and great-grandchildren Leigh Nash, Luke Nash and Charlotte Brown. He is also survived by his sister Eilene Wetzel.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Doris Mae Mais, Patricia Miller, Arlene Bengal, and Donna Brown; and his brothers Kenneth Christensen, William Christensen and Paul Christensen.
