Donald Ray Bynum , Sr.

Donald Ray Bynum passed away at the age of 74 in his beloved town of Hollywood Park, Tx. He was born on September 9, 1949- an only child to Sanders Ray Bynum and Naomi Bynum and is preceded in death by his parents. He was survived by his former spouse Adrienne Meads; children Donald Ray Bynum, Jr and Beverly Schulmeier (Christopher); his grandchildren: Zoey Schulmeier, Tyler Schulmeier, Travis Schulmeier; numerous other family members and friends.

Donald, fondly known as “Donnie”was a proud graduate of Peacock Military Academy and later St Mary’s University. He owned the “Cut-Rate Liquor” Stores and was a savvy businessman known for his unrelenting teasing and sense of humor. As a young man he was a Shriner and horseman.

Donnie held many titles in his life, from student to businessman, but his favorite role was being a father. He loved nothing more than spending time with his children. A passionate outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing, camping, and outdoor cooking. He was very dedicated to his children’s endeavors and devoted his time as a Boy Scouts Of America Scout Master, coached various youth sports teams with his children, and spent countless hours teaching them about the great outdoors. He adored his grandchildren and spent most of his free time doting on them. Donald will be greatly missed.
