Donald Eldon Allen went Home to be with his Lord on September 15, 2012. Born September 29, 1929, Don was 82. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Thelma E. Allen. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Allen and his children, Bob Allen and Debbie Stokey, as well as his sisters, Nola Keyton and Oma Schoonover. Also left to cherish his memory are his 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Don was known as a man of generous spirit, great optimism, wonderful sense of humor and a love for life. He greatly loved his Lord Jesus, his family and his country, serving honorably in the United States Air Force for 24 years. He began a second career of 20 years in business, always known as a man of integrity. Don will be greatly missed by his loved ones and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 19, 2012, at 12:00pm at Shearer Hills Baptist Church, 12615 San Pedro Ave. with the funeral service to be held at 1:00pm.
