Dolores was born, grew up, married and raised her family in Northeastern New Jersey.Dolores met her husband Raymond C. Wenz Sr, when he came to look at a car for sale by her Uncle. He was told that she came with the car if he decided to purchase it.
They were married in 1949 and bought their first home in Fairfield, New Jersey. Dolores was active in the Fairfield United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Women's Club. She was also active in Fairfield Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. They raised their children there and remained residents until moving to San Antonio, Texas in 1984 to be closer to their grandchildren.

She traveled a lot in order to keep up with family and friends outside of Texas. She loved to cook, was a meticulous housekeeper and enjoyed working in her yard. She learned how to play Bunco and joined a club but never lost her true Yankee accent.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Dolores is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Raymond C. Wenz Sr. "Big Ray", her Stepfather William, her mother Helen and a sister Helen "Honey."
