Diego Rodriguez Cortez

Diego Rodriguez Cortez born on September 19, 1928 went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2017. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Maria Concepcion Cortez; his 4 children Amparo Cortez, Amelia Garza, Genaro Cortez and Connie Camacho; 1 grandchild Able Cortez and 1 great grandchild Judy Escobedo. Diego is survived by his children; Juan Diego Cortez (Juanita), Rosa Flores, Lidia Roque, Casimiro Cortez (Mary Jane), Evangelina Flores (Louie), Elia Cortez, Dolores Gomez (Lorenzo), Jessica Guerrero-Cortez & Linda Cortez; 45 grandchildren; 147 great grandchildren; 27 great great grandchildren and 3 sisters Rosavelia, Lidia and Diamantina. Diego loved his Spurs and Cowboys. He also enjoyed the WWE Wrestling Mania. He was a family oriented man. He will be truly missed by family and friends. A visitation will be on Thursday June 1, 2017 at 5:00pm at Trevino funeral home on 2525 Palo Alto Rd. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. for a mass at 10:00a.m. at the Our Lady of the Angels Church with interment to follow at San Jose Mission Cemetery.
