Diane Claire LeRoy

Diane Claire LeRoy (née Degnitz) of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on November 23, 2018. She will be deeply missed by her surviving children: Dannielle Marvel (spouse Edward Marvel), Jayson LeRoy (spouse Christy LeRoy), and James “Butch” LeRoy as well as her grandchildren, Leah and Paula Marvel (Dannielle & Ed), Isabella “Izzie”, Zoe, and Piper LeRoy (Jayson & Christy) and Sierra LeRoy (Butch). She is predeceased by her son, Jeffrey “Jeff” LeRoy. She will also be dearly missed by her Wisconsin family: her brother, David Degnitz and his wife, Constance “Connie” Degnitz as well as her niece, Amy Degnitz, and nephews, Barry Degnitz (spouse Stacie Degnitz) and John Degnitz.

Born on June 2, 1944 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to Hugo and Sylvia Degnitz, Diane was a hard worker her entire life. She had as many stories about raising her kids as she did her work outside the home at the Westin Center and the Stop-n-Go. She always put her family first, no matter what the situation.

Diane loved genealogy, gardening, Elvis, social media, German, Indian and Moroccan food, spending time with her family, and spoiling her grandkids. She was a tough and fiercely independent woman with a soft spot for her family and animals.

The Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Hope Church in San Antonio, Texas (18850 Redland Rd.) at 5 pm. Flowers may be sent to the church or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Church or the charity of your choice.
