Diana B. Ramirez, age 90, went to be with her LORD on May 28, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on April 1, 1931 in Laredo, Texas to Sixto and Lamar Medina Barrera. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Sixto Barrera, Irene Cantu, Mirta Lopez, and Sonia Hernandez; son-in-law, Manuel Alfaro; grandson-in-law, Clayton Dempster. Diana is survived by her children, Diana Alfaro, Rosalinda Heard and her husband Clint, Cleotilde Mendez and her husband John, Ramiro Ramirez and his wife Diana; grandchildren, Steven Welker, Aquinas Heard, Marcellina (Bryan) Miller, Bettina Heard, Jessica (Ryan) Rios, Janice Mendez, Jamie (Philip) Flores, Jule (Carlos) Benavides, Natalie (Mark) Sauceda, Jessica (JD) de Anda, and Stephanie (Nicholas) Evans; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ariel Barrera, Eric Barrera, Obie Barrera, Melba Coronado, Nedra Garcia and Carma Roberson.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Grotto Activity Center, 5712 Blanco Road, San Antonio, Texas 78216 Building 42. A celebration of life reception will follow the memorial mass at the nearby Whitby Theological Center, 285 Oblate Drive, 78216
