Desiderio B. Gallegos Jr. born on July 4, 1947 in Charlotte, TX was called to be with The Lord on July 17, 2023 at the age of 76.
Desi “Junior” retired from Kelly AFB in 2000. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed watching western movies.
He is preceded in death by his parents Desiderio and Petra Gallegos and brother Johnny Gallegos.
He is survived by his loving wife Maria Alma Gallegos of 54 years. His son David Gallegos (Lisa), his daughters Gracie Garcia (Tony) and Monica Hernandez (Eddie); grandchildren, Tyler, Moses, Christian, Andrew, Matthew, Mia, and Mykaela. His sister Mary Lou Hasette (Tony), his brother Rudy Gallegos (Laura), his sister-in-law Inez Gallegos and many nieces and nephews. Desi “Junior” will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation for Desiderio will be held Monday, July 24, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a Rosary being recited at 7:00. A mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St.Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 4222 SW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78227 with a committal service to follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
