Dennis Dale Moore passed away peacefully on November 2, 2019 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 52. Dennis was born on June 1, 1967 in San Angelo, TX to father David Glen Breeden and mother Barbara Gail Breeden. He grew up in Del Rio, TX as part of a loving close-knit family.
Dennis was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Dixon Dennis, grandmother Barbara “Bobbie” Dennis, and aunt Candy Wilson. Dennis is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lillian Rubio Moore; his son, Seth Moore; his daughter, Skylar Moore; his sister, Debi Burk and husband John David; his brother, Robert Breeden and wife Kelly; his brother, John Breeden; his step-mother, Lin Breeden; his aunt, Debbie Dennis; his godson, Steven Volcik; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his loyal canine companion Marty.
Dennis was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, accompanying his father and step-mother and other family members on trips to Colorado, New Mexico, and state lottery drawn hunts that they were fortunate to receive. He always looked forward to hunting season and spending time with his family.
Dennis was an exemplary handyman and jack-of-all-trades. Lillian often joked and was grateful that her appliances were many years old because Dennis was usually able to repair them keeping the family from the expense of hiring a repairman or replacing the appliance. He joyfully utilized his mechanical skills to help his mother and friends around their homes. Dennis’ love language was helping others by sharing his skills.
Dennis was a driven, knowledgeable System Engineer and Development Manager at Riverside Engineering. He quickly became friends with his business colleagues, and they became his family away from home. He enjoyed the challenge of his job in the metal recycling industry and traveling nationally and internationally to assist customers with their metal shredder engineering needs.
He served proudly in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer. He was awarded numerous ribbons and medals for his service during Operation Just Cause in Panama and Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm in the Gulf War.
Services for Dennis will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church – Honey Creek. Services as followed:
10:30 a.m. Vigil
11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial
A meal served in the parish hall will immediately follow the Mass.
