I love you so much. I think of you every day

My prima Debra earned her lone star wings... It took me a minute to say anything about her because I really didn't know what to say but I have been talking to her...

Debra, No. 1, as my mom called her when they would talk. She's kinda of like the youngest Tia as she & my youngest tio are the same age. So, our relationship was loving limited with our ages & she's from & lived in Texas. I didn't see my family as much the older I got but I can remember and still feel what it was like when I did go... Always connected to a life I experienced as a child. Debra & Jimmy always saw me always shared the love!
 
In 2017 when I took my my mom home, back to South Texas, I stayed a few days in San Antonio Southside. It was there that my visit with Debra was a healing for both of us. A remembering catching up with togetherness stories of her Tia Irma/my mom & how "they all" (Irma, Mary Jane, Debra, plus mas) used to connect when she would go back home. During that time Debra's personallity & character was an unintended much needed surrogate for why I was there. Also, that there was a continuing existence of a part of me.

Being raised away from the core Familia here in Calfias, I didnt know the vibe but it was always a "silent blessing" to witness & listen to those country Tejanas Locas being free, loud & happy. I guess it can be what is said, 'there is no place like home.' The laughter mixed with Spanglish is what I hear when I think of them. Puro Familia Garza!! The good, the bad & the beautiful!!!

The names are changing but The Garza's are still representing! From Texas thru Cali up to Alaska we're keeping it going! Alot of never imagined positive actions from our family's Mexico, Texico, small town beginnings.

My beautiful best friend, My Comadre , my sister and Best Friend for life I have so many beautiful memories of  our 39 years together.  We laughed, we cried and we talked for hours,   I was blessed when you came into my life as well as my family,  They all loved you dearly.  I will always remember your beautiful smile, your laugh, your  Gritos and sincere love for your family.  I will miss you so very much My BFFFL but I know you’re in a better place with your Daddy . My most beautiful loving cousin may you rest in paradise with your daddy and aunts and uncles who you missed with all your heart. Know that you are loved very much by all Your Tia Mary Janes family.
