Deborah Ann Platt

Deborah Ann Platt passed away in her home on December 4th, 2024. Born in Indianapolis on December 15th 1948 to Rachel and Roy Reid, Debi was the second of four children. She went on to graduate from Indiana University and then the University of Wisconsin with a masters in social work. On May 5th 1973, Debi married Terry Platt, before eventually settling in San Antonio where they had two sons, Jason and Brian.

Debi loved people and dedicated her life to helping others, both professionally and personally. She was the life of every party and a dear friend to everyone that she met. She was the one who made sure that everyone in her family kept in touch and she was the keeper of all of our family stories. She loved playing cards, traveling, and going on cruises. But most of all, she loved to be with all of the people whom she held dear.

Above all, Debi was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She leaves behind her husband of fifty-one years, Terry Platt; her son Jason, her daughter-in-law Randi Jo Platt, and her granddaughter Madi Jo Platt; her son Brian and her daughter-in-law Brynn Roth; her brother John Reid and his partner Pam Roth. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Corky and Michael Reid. She will be missed by everyone that she touched, but most of all by her family.
