In loving memory of Deborah Marie Garcia, a loving Life Partner, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Debbie, age 39, joined our Lord in Heaven on Saturday, July 11th, 2015. She was born in San Antonio, Texas to Hilario & San Juana Garcia on November 20th 1975. She is survived by her Parents; Life Partner Nancy Rodriguez, and siblings Joel Garcia with his wife Patricia and two children, Savannah and Julian; Fernando Garcia and his son Fernando Jr.; Julie Garcia and two children, Conrad and Victoria; and Marty Garcia and his son Lucius. Debbie, class of 1995 Southwest graduate, has had remarkable achievements such as being one of the first females in San Antonio to obtain a Master Journeyman Plumber License and owning her own successful plumbing business, Tapout Plumbing. She was dedicated to fitness, becoming a mixed martial arts student who went on to participate in the first official MMA female fight in San Antonio, Texas with a record of 3-0. She then went on to become a mixed martial arts instructor. As a natural leader, she had the ability to influence others to improve not only on their fitness but also in life. Being a devoted mentor she was able to reach her dream by opening a gym with her fitness partner. With a caring and devoted heart, she motivated and touched everyone who knew her. Debbie always created an energetic atmosphere with her contagious humor that everyone loved to be around. She expressed compassion to those she loved including rescuing and taking animals under her care. As Debbie has joined her heavenly Father, we continue to appreciate the person she was because through death she has given others another chance at life. A Visitation for the public will be held on Thursday, July 16th 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78211. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Friday, July 17th 2015, after a 10:00 a.m. Chapel Service with Interment to follow at Mission South Burial Park , 1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, Texas 78214. Please arrive early to coordinate your vehicle with the motorcade.
