I remember working with Debby at RIOSA so many years ago. Debby was always an excellent nurse and an even better friend. I will treasure those hectic and often crazy memories. We did manage to get through it together, especially with Debby's strength, support and infectious smile.

Even the time spent with Debby and others in the garden for the occasional "stress" break gave us many heartfelt memories to laugh, cherish and remember, thank you Debby. 

My sincerest condolences and sympathy to Debby's family at this time and may you rest in peace, my friend.

Debby was my sister-in-law.  My name is Debbie too and we were born the same year a month apart. I adored her from the start. Mother was just crazy about  her. We were so happy to have her in our family. She was so good and kind and smart.She had a quick wit and never failed to cracked me up.  I admired her so much. I feel I've lost my own sister.  She will always be in my heart. 

Debby and Micheal were  long time clients and friends of mine for many years. WE shared many WONDERFUL visits. Always a pleasure w lots of silliness and laughter.  Debby always had a BEAUTIFUL heart❤ BEAUTIFUL SOUL as many others will agree.
She was SPECIAL to me and many more. I will miss YOU dearly. I will NEVER forget you and always hold you in my heart till we meet again.
My heart weeps for her husband Micheal, her children and grandchildren. 
I will never ever forget you Debby.  I PRAY you are at PEACE in heaven with God.
YOU are now a precious guardian angel to ALL of your FAMILY.  YOU will NEVER be forgotten. That's a promise.

Over the years the thing I noticed the most about Debby was what a generous soul she was. She always put people ahead of herself. This quality in her is why she was such a great Nurse at work as well. One of the first things I noticed about her was her love of family. I remember she would start Christmas shopping for family and friends as early as late August some years. I know when I was feeling depressed or upset about something Debby always had just the right thing to say to me and that was it, problem solved.

Over the years with our time together Debby lost a few family members along the way and she always handled these with strength, dignity and grace. We watched the grand children grow up and many are now married with children of their own. There are so many now I cannot keep up with it but Debby always did. She always knew all of their birthdays and made an effort to buy them a gift or send a card.

Lately we were talking often about what we would do once we both retire and we were going to enjoy family more often and take some trips to places like Hawaii and London. I guess God had other plans for her and she is now up in heaven, I guess they needed a good nurse up there and well there you have it.

I am blessed that I had the 15 years with Debby and my love for her will never fade. She will always be in my heart and I know she would want me to not be sad but to remember her for all the great times we had together. I will honor her in that way.

Fifteen years ago, almost to this day I met the most wonderful woman named Debra Halloran. We connected on the Yahoo dating site on which I had posted a picture and a paragraph about myself. By the grace of God Debby liked my post and replied to me. We exchanged emails back and forth for a few weeks and then she gave me her phone number. I think she did a background check on me before giving me her number, but that is OK in this day and age it is better to be safe.

I called her and immediately enjoyed talking to her with my initial thought that “this woman is really cool”. We continued to call each other for a few weeks and finally decided to meet. On November 22nd 2003 we met each other the first time in person. My initial thought was “What a lovely lady”. But throughout the night her personality really won me over. We hit it off as they say and we continued to see each other. She introduced me to her large family and they welcomed me with kindness.

We finally decided to marry and on July 29th 2005 we had a small wedding downtown in a wedding chapel. It was a Christian wedding with the immediate family and later we had a great reception at our favorite Mexican restaurant at the time. At the end of the evening Debby fell and really gashed her knee but she said it was no big deal. Being a Registered Nurse she bandaged it up and the next day we were off for our Honeymoon.

We were married for over 13 years and over that time I think I cannot count on one hand how many times we ever had a disagreement or fight. We never did have a fight where we yelled at each other, it was just the silent treatment and that was it. Time always took care of these disagreements and then we moved on.

Debbie was one of the best nurses I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. She was always willing to share her knowledge and teach the techs something new. She will always be a big part of my Riosa memories. Those were great years I spent there. RIH Debby Holleran. You are now a loving angel. Always loved and forever missed. ❤️❤️❤️

I met you once.  But I can honestly say that you really touched my daughter's heart and that means a lot for ME (more than I can express).  Thanks for everything you did for her because indirectly you did it for me too.  Enjoy heaven, RIP and keep watching over your love ones from there ... until we meet again!


My heartfelt sympathy to Debby's husband and family.   Debby was one of the most wonderful nurses I have ever met.  As her boss I could count on Debby
to show up if we were short staffed, if another nurse was sick or if she was needed in another department.  She was always ready, willing, and able to help the numerous new nurses , and students she mentored.  She will always be remembered in my thoughts and prayers.

There isn't a single RIOSA memory that doesn't have Debby in it.  She was and incredible co-worker, but most of all she was my FRIEND.  I will miss Debby every day.  Life at RIOSA will never be the same without our amazing nurse and my dear friend Debby Halloran.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this very difficult time.  May her memory be eternal.

Deb was kind, nurturing, and  valued human life. She was protector, even more so, noted the values of a holistic and compassionate nurse.  Will miss her.  When I needed to vent, she always made it a point to listen.

So unbelievable  it is a pleasure to have known you for so many years I thank God for out last meeting sorry we didn't get to do lunch as planned my heart and prayers go out to the family. She was so special RIH Debby

Debby was my preceptor when I started at Healthsouth . she was always ready to lend an ear or a shoulder. She was the first person to point out a red rose to me after I returned. to work after losing my Mom.  She told me to think of love and my Mom when the roses bloomed in the garden and that would ease my pain. Now I have a new reason to count the roses in the spring. I love you Debby

Debby was the most wonderful and caring nurse I've ever had. She was the charge nurse at RIOSA  29 years ago. I had traumatic  injuries from a car accident and she was always encouraging , patient and understanding! 
That  was very difficult to be because of my head injury. But Debby was able to handle all of  my  problems.
I have run into her at different restaraunts during the past few years and she was always a joy to visit with! You will be greatly missed.
