Dawn Marie Carroll-Alexander, who passed away on November 6, 2022 at the age of 43 in San Antonio, TX was born on August 21, 1979 in Kunsan City, Republic of Korea, to David Louis Carroll and Nam Chong Suk.
She attended various Department of Defense schools in Guam and Italy as she and her family accompanied her Father on various assignments in the Republic of Korea, Guam, Italy and around the United States during his Air Force career. She graduated from Clark High School in San Antonio on May 26, 1997. She later graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration and double Majors in Information Systems and Cyber Security, which led to an Internship at the AF Lifecycle Management Center-Business Enterprise Systems-HR Systems (AFLMC-BES-HRS) on JBSA Randolph AFB TX. Her performance as an Intern was so remarkable and valued that she was chosen to remain with this organization, at their own expense, where she was in the process of being groomed for a leadership role in Government Service.
She has been married to her husband, Oran Tyrone Alexander, Jr. since January 18, 2006 and she welcomed her only child, Simon David Alexander, on October 2, 2011. She is survived by her Mother, Chong Suk Carroll; Father, David Louis Carroll; Brother, Daniel Lee Carroll; Son, Simon David Alexander; Husband, Oran Tyrone Alexander, Jr.; Nephew, Noah Lee Carroll; and Sister-In-Law, Clare McCoy-Carroll.
She had a very sharp mind, a loving and caring heart and was extremely loyal and supportive to both family and friends who are all going to miss her dearly but, we can take solace in the fact that she is no longer suffering the pain of Metastatic Cancer, is in a far better place and has joined her beloved family members in Heaven who have preceded her in death.
We are all going to miss you but, Rest In Peace, Baby Girl.
