To the Family of David Thompson,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I am so sorry for your loss. David and I were in the Shelbyville High School Class of 1954 and I have always admired him for his generous service to our country. Two years ago at our class reunion, I am happy to say I got to visit with him and recall some good times in Shelbyville.  May God bless each of you and grant you comfort

Missing him...nothing is the same without him.

Gloria I am sorry for your loss, for you and your family.  I know you will always remember him because you have a lot of love for each other, because it showed.  
I had the privilege of working with David at Lifecare Hospital and I got to see the jokester in action!  He was a hoot and made me laugh many times.  He will be greatly missed by those of us who worked with him.

I read once that when a child is born that is the time to mourn because his or her sufferings are yet to come, but when a person passes on that is the time for celebration for now all his pain & suffering are behind him and happy memories remain. We have made a donation  at the Oblate Missions Church on Blanco Road in David's memory and there will be a pew with his name on it at the open air church.
