David Thomas died on September 19th, 2018, at home, surrounded by friends and family. He was born in North London, England, on February 12th, 1941, under the dining room table because of the bombing during the blitz of World War 2. He attended Forest School, Essex, and worked in the City of London after graduating.
In 1968, David moved to San Antonio, Texas. His many interests included classical music, history, traveling all over the world, and sports – he was a passionate supporter of Tottenham Hotspur “Spurs” and the San Antonio Spurs. He was also an avid card player. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, including his pets, as well as his many friends.
David leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Mary; two daughters, Lisa and Julia; and sons-in-law Perrin and Jason; granddaughters, Jordan and Jessa; and his sister, Brenda.
Service will be on Friday October 5, at Sunset Funeral Home at 12:00 noon with a reception for family and friends prior at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donation may be given to an animal care charity of your choice.
